Having already delivered hundreds of DC fast chargers throughout Europe, ABB was recently awarded Europes largest tender for supplying the world's first nationwide DC charging network in Estonia

  • ABB's PCS 6000 static frequency converter binds public grid with the railway grid in Norway

    2012-05-02: Commissioned two weeks ahead of the schedule, the PCS 6000 static frequency converter (SFC) now couples the 50Hz public utility grid with the 16.7Hz grid of the railway. This delivery represents the core of a large order that was executed by ABB in close cooperation with Balfour Beatty Rail company.

    2012-02-27: ABB is providing power and production protection that saves space, cost and energy for Toshiba Mobile Display Co. Ltd’s new manufacturing facility in Ishikawa, Japan. This is the first installation for ABB’s power protection products in Japan. The technology is being provided by ABB’s Power Electronics team based in Napier (New Zealand) with support from ABB in Japan.
